Wildly Grounded Women was created for women over 40 who are ready to reconnect with themselves through movement, nature and meaningful challenge — without pressure or judgement.
For many women, this stage of life brings a quiet longing for more: more space, more strength, more adventure. Wildly Grounded Women exists to meet that longing in a way that feels safe, supportive and deeply human.Our Approach
Every Wildly Grounded Women experience is intentionally designed to balance challenge and care.
Walks are beginner–moderate and led in small groups, allowing space for connection, reflection and individual pacing. Rather than focusing on speed or fitness metrics, the emphasis is on presence, confidence and trust in your body.Mindset coaching is gently woven into each walk, offering tools to notice and move beyond limiting beliefs, on the trail and in everyday life.The Guide Behind Wildly Grounded Women
Wildly Grounded Women is led by Di, a guide with a background in allied health, personal training and women’s group facilitation, with years of experience leading women through outdoor challenges.
Having trekked to Everest Base Camp, and supported women through a wide range of physical and emotional journeys, the heart of this work lies in helping women realise they are capable of more than they think — without needing to push, prove or perform.Dianne's background in photography has shaped a deep appreciation for landscape, culture and the quieter moments that often go unnoticed. That same way of seeing is brought into every walk — slowing down, noticing, and creating space for reflection and growth.

FAq's

Do I need hiking experience?
No. All Wildly Grounded Women walks are beginner–moderate and designed for women returning to movement or trying hiking for the first time. You’re encouraged to move at your own pace.
What if I’m not very fit?
You don’t need to be “fit enough” to join. These experiences are about rebuilding trust in your body, not pushing limits. If you can walk for 2–3 hours with breaks, you’ll be well suited.
How big are the groups?
Groups are intentionally kept small (usually 6–12 women) to ensure safety, connection and individual support.
What happens if I need to stop or take a break?
That’s absolutely okay. We move together, allow plenty of pauses, and prioritise care and comfort over speed or distance.
Is this a fitness program or therapy?
Neither.
Wildly Grounded Women offers guided walks with educational mindset support. It is not a medical, psychological or therapeutic service.
What kind of mindset coaching is included?
Mindset support is gently woven into each hike through:
- Reflection prompts
- Group discussions (optional)
- Intention setting
There is no pressure to share, participation is always your choice.
What should I bring?
You’ll receive a full prep email before your hike. Generally:
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Water
- Weather-appropriate clothing
- Snacks
- An open mind
What if the weather is bad?
Safety comes first. If conditions are unsafe, walks may be postponed or rescheduled. You’ll be notified with as much notice as possible.
Can I attend just one walk?
Yes. Single walks are available and are a great way to experience Wildly Grounded Women before committing to a program.
Are refunds available?
Due to limited group sizes, refunds are not generally offered without 24hours notice.
